terms and conditions


Please reserve your wedding/event date and customized selections early. Due to the individual care Crystal Celebration consultants give each wedding/event, we are limited in the number of weddings/events that can be coordinated on each ship and at each port of call. All weddings/events are reserved based on availability. Weddings/events may only be held without payment for 72 hours. To avoid a $250 late fee, please arrange your wedding at least 60 days prior to the sail date of your cruise vacation. Our Crystal Celebration consultants will work with you to create the perfect wedding/event that suits your individual style. Your date will be reserved as soon as full payment for your package and a signed contract is received. Arrangements may be paid in U.S. dollars by credit card, travel agency check, certified check or international money order. Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover are also accepted.

Once your event is confirmed with payment and a signed contract, a reservation can only be rescheduled outside of 60 days prior to the sail date. If you need to reschedule the date of your event for any reason, it is subject to availability and a rescheduling fee of $250. Due to the limited availability of some services, Crystal Celebrations encourages clients to book custom options as early as possible. Enhancements will be confirmed upon full receipt of payment. Additions and changes may only be received up to 45 days prior to the sail date of your cruise vacation.

As a complimentary service provided by Crystal Cruises, events may have up to 10 non-sailing guests in attendance at the wedding/event. If there are more than 10 non-sailing guests, a reception package must be booked. Additional cake and champagne does not constitute a reception. If a reception is booked on the ship, additional non-sailing guests may attend the wedding/event. Please note that in some ports of call, non-sailing guests are not permitted to board the ship due to security restrictions.

Events with a reception may have a maximum of 150 non-sailing guests board the ship for their celebration. Events with 25-50 guests require the services of an additional coordinator and will be charged starting from an additional $150 U.S. dollars depending upon the port. For each additional 25 guests, Crystal Celebrations requires the services of one additional coordinator. Clients who choose to have a destination wedding ceremony or event may purchase an onboard reception following their event. There is an additional fee starting at $150 U.S. dollars as onboard receptions require a coordinator. Please be advised that in the event of strikes, lockouts, riots, weather conditions, change of itineraries, missed ports, mechanical difficulties or other unforeseen circumstances, Crystal Cruises may at any time and without prior notice cancel, advance, postpone or deviate from any scheduled sailing or port of call. Crystal Celebrations shall not be liable for any loss whatsoever incurred by reason of such cancellation, advancement, postponement or deviation. It is extremely important the wedding/event party personally carry all items on board that are to be used in the ceremony or celebration (if applicable). For instance, for a wedding this may include the tuxedo, wedding dress, shoes, jewelry, etc., for the entire wedding party (bride, groom, bridesmaids, groomsmen). Security will only allow one small carry on and a garment bag per person. Luggage checked with the luggage handlers may not arrive in the stateroom until well after the ceremony.


Priority boarding is provided for event clients (as well as their guests) who are having an event on the day of sailing. If you have not registered online, please have your cruise documents completed prior to arriving at the cruise terminal. All clients must present themselves to the coordinator to check in and to be escorted to the ship. There may be lines for regular passengers to check in and to board the ship; therefore, checking in with the coordinator is the only way we can ensure clients and their guests do not wait in line unnecessarily. The boarding time is controlled by Customs and Immigration. No one is permitted to board the ship until Customs and Immigration clear the ship. A coordinator will greet the party and guests at the security desk inside the terminal area and escort them on board the ship and then escort the guests to their staterooms. Clients may board as soon as Customs clears the ship. All sailing and non-sailing guests will receive special priority check-in, provided they arrive at the pier by the allocated time. Non-sailing guests will not be able to purchase food or beverages while on board the ship or at the cruise terminal. Event Locations and Times: Times and locations are assigned according to the requirements of each wedding or onboard event. Times and venue will be confirmed approximately two weeks prior to the sail date of your cruise vacation. For safety reasons much of the furniture on board is anchored in place and therefore cannot be reconfigured. Wedding decorations for the ceremony include two white columns and two silk flower arrangements. The type of reception purchased determines the length of time allotted for a reception. In some ports, reception times may be limited. For more details, please check with your Crystal Celebration consultant. All ceremonies are civil ceremonies performed by a government-approved official.

Hurricane Policy:

In the event of an itinerary change due to a hurricane or other natural disaster, we will make every effort to reschedule a symbolic ceremony or event for you on board the ship or in another port of call. Ceremonies will be symbolic due to the fact that we may not have enough time to obtain a new marriage license. Compensation will not be provided for either option nor will a refund be provided should the couple decide to decline either of these options. Crystal Celebrations strongly recommends the purchase of event insurance. Ask your Crystal Celebration consultant for details.

Itinerary Changes:

When we are not in hurricane season, the following will apply: If possible, we will try to schedule the event at another port of call depending on the ship’s itinerary. If the client opts to have the event at the new port of call, the ceremony will be symbolic due to the fact that we may not have enough time to obtain a new marriage license. The client may also opt to have a symbolic ceremony on board while the ship is sailing. No compensation will be given for either option. If the client decides not to accept either of these options and prefers not to proceed with the event, no compensation will be given.

Cancellation Policy:

For a refund of your event or event enhancements, Crystal Celebrations must receive notice of cancellation in writing no later than 60 days prior to your sailing date. A refund, less $500 U.S. dollars administration fee and the license fees, will be issued. Refunds will not be granted for cancellations made less than 60 days prior to sail date.

Crystal Spa Voucher:

Crystal Spa Voucher may only be redeemed for use on board Crystal ship at the Crystal Spa toward one Select Signature Spa Treatment while the ship is in port. Voucher is not redeemable for cash, cannot be duplicated and is not transferable. Voucher is per person, only valid on specified voyage and will not be accepted if altered and/or changed. Voucher is not combinable with any other promotion and its value will be forfeited if it is not redeemed by the final night of your cruise. Other restrictions may apply. Crystal Cruises reserves the right to withdraw or change any and all promotions at any time without notice.
